2.) Post frequently- People will quickly lose interest or flat out forget about your blog if you don’t post frequently. Many strong blog ideas have died out because the author did not update it often enough. This is the Twitter age and if there is not a frequent stream of good material then people will pass for something else.
The main thing you want to do if this is a money making idea is to keep as many people coming to your site as regularly as you can. Many popular sites update throughout the day to keep people coming back for more.
